I was born on the blockchain and on the blockchain, I grew up. Every day was mine to do what's on my mind. I could write anything I wanted and be rewarded for it. It was a great opportunity on Steem but it's much better that we're on Hive now.
Why?
Because we're finally free from the tyranny. Now the future of the blockchain depends only on us and our collective decisions. We no longer have to hope on someone else and whether their plans will align with ours. We can use the freedom we gained to create something unlike anyone has ever seen. We have the opportunity!
I can do the same thing I did on Steem without worrying my home will be sold to someone else. It's our home now! It's our Hive and it's a wonderful feeling!
What Hive Means To Me?
- Hive means there's definitely some honey there and that's all I need because I really like sweets. Especially if you can turn them into something else, for example, dollars or euros. Those sweets are the best ones for me.
- New friends and connections, people who inspire me. I'm a member of #powerhousecreatives and I have met lots of interesting people there. Their skills and conversations with them are inspiring. It's indescribable how good it feels when someone reads your post and leaves a thoughtful comment.
- Growth. Since I joined this blockchain, I've learnt many useful things. My writing skills have improved and my overall look on life has changed. I have come to the conclusion that learning by doing is my favourite method to achieve my goals. Even when I don't know what I'm going to write about, I start doing it and my mind opens itself.
- Opportunities. There are many initiatives around the blockchain and there are always opportunities everywhere you look. Starting from science fiction and poetry contests to Hive promotion movements and curation initiatives. It's hard to keep the count on how many great people are using Hive!
- FREEDOM. There's no censorship here. I could post boobs if I wanted and also talk shit and curse if that's what I need at the moment. There's no central authority for me to follow and obey. I'm free to go my own way! Community is the authority here!
About Me
My human persona works in education and that's why he's hidden from the rest of the world under the name of spellmaker. There's no way he could talk about smoking weed and using psychedelic mushrooms in his real name. Cops would soon be banging at the door with an arrest order.
I come in the form of spellmaker and it grants me the ability to be truly free. My privacy is very important to me because otherwise I would be without my job, and I love my job. Working with kids is truly magnificent.
Now that it's quarantine, there's no work for me and I think soon I will have to think about surviving. That's also why I sold some Hive yesterday. Now I have about 60 euros in Bitcoin and I hope to gather more in the next coming weeks because I have to pay rent and other bills. So Hive is an opportunity for me.
