There are so many coins. It is essential to do research before investing any substantial amount of money in any of them. I took about 6 months before I made my first substantial investment in Steem. When Hive was created, I took considerably less time to move over to Hive. I can understand newbies investing in Bitcoin with minimal research; it is a very good bet over a longer time frame. In the short-run, everything in crypto is quite high risk.
