For anyone who has seen my work and had questions about how I make it there is a how to video by William Grout. I use a very similar for most of my pendants. I love the implosion technique and often incorporate a spiral.
While typically glass art is associated with glass blowing (in a hot shop) this process is called torching or lampworking. It's a lot of fun and doesn't require nearly as much time, energy, or equipment as glass blowing. While I mostly work in the hot shop now I got my start torching and will alway appreciate it as a meditative experience.
If you have any questions about this or glass blowing in general please let me know in the comments below. If you're interested in my work please check out my blog (@spc) or my Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SteveChadwickGlass?ref=profile_shopicon
