Ethics is an important part of the professional engineer’s life. In this video I discuss ethics and engineering ethics. The Code of Ethics developed by the National Society of Professional Engineers (https://www.nspe.org/resources/ethics/code-ethics) is presented and the implications are discussed. The long and short-ranged consequences of right and wrong ethical behavior is presented. Finally, common causes of ethical failure are discussed.
