The Saturday semifinals of the Queen’s club Championship saw Marin Cilic of Croatia in a very narrow win over Nick Kyrgios of Australia.
The match which ended with a 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-4) scoreline will now see Cilic battle it out fiercely with Novak Djokovic for the title.
Cilic who is ranked sixth in the world rankings will be looking to take home his second title of the tune-up event at Wimbledon.
For Djokovic who is currently ranked 22nd on the world rankings, he will be fighting to get a first win after four attempts in the past.
Cilic was the champion in 2012 and now looks to take it again this season in his second final. Earlier this year, the Croatian ended up as a runner-up to Roger Federer at this year’s Australian Open.
16 aces from Krygios had Cilic withstanding them all. He was more effective in serves in the game as in the course of the one-hour, 26-minute match, he faced not a single break point and lost just 12 points on serve all through.
