A puma can jump up to 18 metres.
Not quite that littly kitty to cuddle with right? Some people say that even big cats are cute and harmless if you treat them well, but in my opinion there is always a risk involved.
You would never get me close to one of these, be it puma, lion or whatever.
They consume lots of meat and can be quite expensive to take care of. In the wild a Lion for example can feast up to 30 kilograms of meat in one meal. That is the weight of a child - so be careful when you are on a safari tour.
Pumas are insane predators and they need that jump lengh to catch their prey. A trick that people use to get some protection while travelling in areas where pumas and tigers live is the following.
They usually attack from behind, so the people wear masks on the back of their heat that resemble a face.
Since the puma thinks it is your front it will most likely not attack. But though, you can't look in 2 different directions, there is still a risk.
I have never seen a puma in real life and I don't really want to without a cage.
