A tapeworm eats itself when it has not enough food.
I am sorry, I could not find a fitting tapeworm picture, so instead I used a picture of a white worm. It's not so common in the area where I live so I thought this would be weird enough.
Tapeworms are some of the ugliest parasites you can ever come across. They are inside you and are living basically from your digested nutrients. They are "stealing" your bodys nutrients to survive on their own.
And they also can reproduce. Their eggs will come out of the organism ready for the next one.
The horrifying fact is that they eat themselves when the organism is not getting any food for itself whatsoever. They are only removable by surgery.
So guys - do me a favour - don't kiss your dogs on their mouth - they are licking a lot of crap on their way and are easily infected with those things.
Do you want to have it aswell? No? So don't do it!
