Elephants eat about a ton of grass per day.
Yes it is a freaking ton! Thats about the weight of a small car. Does anyone need a biological lawn mower? Im pretty sure they can eat all the grass in your garden multiple times within a day.
Okay no surprise considering their bodysize, but it is still an absurd amount of food and calories they need.
We should be happy that they eat plants and not meat, since we would have a modern T-Rex if that would be the case. Okay. Enough for the jokes so far.
I just thought it was worth mentioning and fits perfect in my blog about facts. Lately I have been posting animal facts, but that does not mean that this blog is entirely about that now. I will also talk about other facts whenever I want to.
