Newborn fox are very tiny - with a weight of only 100 grams and also blind, deaf and cannot walk.
Many animal babys are pretty developed when they are born. But for some animals this is not the case. Baby turtles are living alone after they hatch at a beach for example. While baby humans are not very developed when born.
Small, weak and cying - how should such a thing survive alone in the nature? Without the caring parents this would not be possible. Baby foxes belong to the same category. They are so weak after birth aswell.
Of course the picture shown below is not that kind of fox baby that I mentioned - i just was not able to find a better picture this is why I used this one. It shows a young fox that has already grown up a bit.
How is it possible that some animals are pretty well set up after birth and some others are not?
