Fifteen days ago I wrote my first post on palnet.io. Although I feel like many people have been writing posts about this... I am very sure some people are still not sure wether or not to join in the fun.

Palnet.io is doing a claimdrop currently. This claimdrop has been thought out carefully: people who have been fairly active in the past two months by creating content or commenting can expect to be eligible for the claimdrop - there's a formula that decides how many PAL you will receive based on the amount of Steem Power you held at a certain point in time. The beauty of it is: someone with 1000 SP might get about 350 PAL, someone with 10000 SP gets about 950. Also: the drop is capped at 2500 PAL - so Steem Whales are not suddenly Pal Whales - the distribution is aimed at giving everyone a fair chance on Palnet.io - while at the same time rewarding those that have been active during the long and depressing bear market.
Just for this reason, the well-thought out claimdrop, I'm very excited about Palnet.io as an experiment. I'm not even going into the details how 
That feeling of wanting to be part of it was the first thing I experienced while hearing about the claimdrop. I've been a member of their Discord server from week 1 - listening to shows has been my main activity in there although I've never been very active in the chatrooms. I blame this mostly on 2 things: in the beginning all the different communities were too overwhelming* and I picked a few smaller communities that I could easier feel at home in - but they are not active on Steem anymore. The second thing is: I've been very inactive on Discord after SteemFest3, as all the chatting just didn't feel the same as al the hugging you can do when seeing eachother for real.
So yeah, basically I've been lost on Discord for a very long time.
So I even joined in the chatrooms again where a lot of energy is going on thanks to the excitement (and sometimes confusion) that is being spread thanks to the opportunity of having a new coin and website and, yes, community.
Did you not claim your PAL yet? Please do. And stake them! The staking means you will have the chance of upvoting any content that uses the palnet tag - and you get 50% curation rewards ;-)
I've heard a lot of positive feedback on Palnet. Just the fact that there's now a fronted that feels less spammed and has new curation rules and less over-rewarded content can feel like a breath of fresh air.
