Today I will draw a special person for me.
This is the dahyun of [Twice] that I use as a profile image.
[Twice] is a famous Korean idol band. dahyun's role in the band is rapper.
dahyun is not a typical beauty, but whenever I draw her I find a new charm in her.
New Video of the band was launched on YouTube and I tried to draw her again.
She also shows her charm to be a completely different character when she changes facial expressions and angles.
오늘은 저에게 있어서 특별한 사람의 그림을 그릴겁니다.
바로 저의 프로필 이미지이기도 한 트와이스의 다현이입니다.
다현이는 전형적인 미인은 아니지만 그릴 때마다 새로운 매력을 발견하게되는 친구입니다.
오랜만에 다시 그려봤지만 역시나 표정과 각도를 바꾸니 완전히 다른 인물이 되는 매력을 보여주고 있습니다.

(1) Collect the reference.
The main photo, the enlarged photo, and the pose for reference are arranged.
레퍼런스를 수집합니다.
메인이 되는 사진과 확대한 사진, 참고할만한 포즈등을 늘어놓습니다.
(2) Sketch
I am studying the style of drawing with one pen at a time, So the sketch is rough.
스케치를 합니다.
펜선으로 한번에 그리는 스타일을 연구하는 중이라 스케치는 러프하게 합니다.
(3) Draw the line (inker)
라인 드로잉을 합니다.
사진을 참고로 눈에 보인 그대로 라인 드로잉을 합니다.
I draw the line as it is visible with reference to the photograph.
Yep I have failed. The line nuance is too strong. It's like a woman who breaks a building with her fists at Hero Comics.
Overlay the original picture and see what went wrong. When I was doing line work, my angle was correct, but it was a failure to make a balance of strong, weak, round, and linear nuances.
넵 망했습니다. 미국만화에 나오는 맨손으로 건물 부시는 여자 주인공처럼 그려졌네요.
원본 사진과 겹쳐서 확인해 본 결과 선작업을 할 때 뉘앙스를 제대로 못살린게 원인이었습니다.
(4) Redraw
We can learn a better way through failure. I was careful to make the lines lighter and rounded, deformed some parts, and expressed nuances by line drawing.
다시 그립니다.
실패를 거울 삼아 선을 좀 더 가볍고 둥글게 처리하고 몇몇 부분을 데포르메이션 시켜서 라인 드로잉만으로 뉘앙스가 살아나도록 주의를 기울였습니다.
(5) Specify the base color
중심이 되는 색을 지정합니다.
(6) Describe the rest of the clothes and divide the color based on the base color.
중심색에 따라 의복 등 나머지를 묘사하고 가필을 해서 색을 분할해줍니다.
(7) Edit and Exporting for web
Resize it in the editing tool and export it for the web.
We have challenged to deliver nuances with pen drawing + flat color splitting.
편집툴에서 사이즈를 조절하고 웹용으로 익스포트 해줍니다.
요즘 연구하고 있는 펜 드로잉+플랫한 색 분할만으로 뉘앙스 전달하기를 도전해봤습니다.
