Hola amigos y amigas de Hive, me ausenté con tristeza de la comunidad para tomarme unos días para una mudanza necesaria, o como dicen aquí en Colombia un trasteo. Hace un año mi esposo llegó a Bogotá ya los dos meses llegué yo, y estábamos viviendo en una zona muy bonita de la ciudad pero costosa. Alquilamos ahí porque ya que no teníamos papeles tuvimos que tomar ese apartamento bajo contrato, claro está, que aquí podemos arrendar sin documentación pero en zona muy peligrosas y preferimos hacer el esfuerzo de pagar más de lo que queríamos pero estar seguros.

Hello friends and friends of Hive, I was sadly absent from the community to take a few days for a necessary move, or as they say here in Colombia a trasteo. A year ago my husband arrived in Bogota and two months later I arrived, and we were living in a very nice area of the city but expensive. We rented there because since we had no papers we had to take that apartment under contract, of course, that here we can rent without documentation but in a very dangerous area and we prefer to make the effort to pay more than we wanted but be safe.
Cuando se acercaba la fecha empezamos a buscar
apartamento en una zona más económica y nos sorprendimos al ver que si nos alejábamos un poco más del centro de la ciudad podíamos conseguir un lugar bonito y en muy mejor precio.
Así fue como conseguimos nuestra nueva casita, en una zona llamada Engativá. Un apartamento pequeño pero acogedor, cerca de unos amigos, con mercados, farmacias cerca y la
verdad al caminar por la zona mi esposo y yo sabíamos que habíamos llegado al lugar indicado.
So when the date was approaching we started looking for an apartment in a cheaper area and we were surprised to see that if we moved a little further away from the center of the city we could get a nice place and at a much better price.
That's how we got our new little house, in an area called Engativá. A small but cozy apartment, close to some friends, with markets, pharmacies nearby and the truth is that walking around the area my husband and I knew we had come to the right place.
Como toda mudanza ya se imaginaran lo agotador que fue, y cabe destacar que no tenemos muchas cosas, pero es impresionante lo cansada que es. Recoger en el primer apartamento, limpiarlo, empacar, y luego limpiar el otro apartamento, y arreglar todas las cosas en el nuevo espacio.
Bogotá es una ciudad que ofrece muchas oportunidades, siempre hay personas o empresas de mudanza, también existen sistemas de alquileres a través de internet, muchas inmobiliarias lo que facilita mucho la búsqueda.
Nosotros comenzamos a buscar apartamento como un mes y medio antes de mudarnos y no fue si no faltando 8 días para que venciera nuestro contrato que pudimos conseguir lo que estábamos buscando.
As with any move, you can imagine how exhausting it was, and it's worth noting that we don't have a lot of stuff, but it's amazing how tiring it is. Picking up in the first apartment, cleaning it, packing, and then cleaning the other apartment, and arranging all the things in the new space.
Bogota is a city that offers many opportunities, there are always people or moving companies, there are also rental systems through the internet, many real estate agencies which makes the search much easier.
We started looking for an apartment about a month and a half before moving and it wasn't until 8 days before our contract expired that we were able to get what we were looking for.
Estamos a ahora en un lugar más pequeño lo que nos ha llevado a estructurar mejor nuestros espacios, quisiera ser más minimalista.
Todo salió bien, ya estamos en nuestro nuevo hogar y nos sentimos muy plenos, gracias a Dios siempre por guiarnos a los lugares correctos.

We are now in a smaller place which has led us to structure our spaces better, and now I would like to be more minimalist.
Everything went well, we are already in our new home and we feel very fulfilled, thank God for always guiding us to the right places.
