WAYWARD
A 24-Original-Song Animated Space Novel Rock Album by Shavon Bonnie Legion & Makis Gibs
One ship. Six unlikely souls. Twenty-four songs. One extraordinary journey across the stars.
Welcome aboard the WAYWARD.
In a future where an authoritarian empire known as the Dominion controls the stars, entire worlds have been erased from the maps, and freedom has become something worth risking everything for.
Aboard a battered old exploration ship called the Wayward, six unlikely companions travel beyond the borders of known space, secretly searching for habitable worlds where humanity might finally live free.
But their journey takes an extraordinary turn when they discover a beautiful, hidden planet inhabited by mysterious bioluminescent creatures known as the Luma.
What begins as a mission of exploration becomes a struggle against an empire, a fight for the freedom of an entire world, and ultimately, a discovery that challenges everything they thought they knew about life, consciousness, and our connection to one another.
WAYWARD is an original 24-chapter animated science-fiction rock adventure, with each chapter told through an original song.**
This project began with the incredible instrumental guitar compositions of Makis Gibs, from his Awakening series.
Inspired by those musical journeys, I wrote 24 original songs and developed an interconnected science-fiction story, complete with its own characters, civilizations, worlds, mysteries, and unfolding adventures.
Every chapter combines original rock music with animated storytelling, bringing the universe of WAYWARD to life through cinematic imagery, character development, and a continuous narrative.
It's part rock album, part animated space adventure, part philosophical exploration of what it means to be alive.
At its heart, WAYWARD is a story about freedom, friendship, rebellion, compassion, discovery, and the extraordinary possibility that, beneath all our differences, we may be more connected than we ever imagined.
