The flying grasshoppers I was talking about some posts ago turned out to be as big as birds when they took to the air. (No, not this cutie here, but really, I have no desire to photograph these monsters.) Even the first one I saw in the garden tried to land on me one night when I was feeding the cats, and that made it all the more terrifying in my eyes.
And can you imagine, cats do not pay attention to them. One passed right under Assencho's nose while he was munching on something, and the kitten ignored it. And do you know how much they love garden grasshoppers, those little ones. I have even seen them interrupt their main meal to catch something jumping in the grass and eat it, then continue with the main meal again.
I hope you don't resent this, you remember what I told you in the previous post. And in fact, I rely on these creatures - the guardians of the garden, to cleanse it of various plagues. But here, the huge grasshoppers do not attract them. This is highly suspicious. 馃 Any animal that isn't fit to be eaten by a cat is highly suspect, isn't it? 馃槂
Cats are a radar for useful and harmful, good and bad (sometimes), terrible and not so much. So we'll see. Observations and research continue.
