Dany - Determined Anxious Nefarious Young(still), Introductory post

Hey Steemers, I’m Dany. It’s a great pleasure for me to embark my journey here in Steemit today. I have been introduced by several friends regarding this amazing community. What’s better than a social media site merged together with a blogging network? To add the icing on the cake, earning cash is possible in this platform, so here I am.

I’m a 24 year old final year medical student with wide array of interests in many fields. Not your typical aspiring doctor. I have a special spot for Pharmacology and Microbiology. Apart from the medical related topics that I’m currently pursuing, I do love Geography and Traveling. Do you know that almost 95% of the World’s oceans are unexplored yet despite the fact that it makes up the most of our Earth’s content. I spent almost all my childhood years memorizing world capital cities, contemplating how the Amazon River could actually be longer than the Nile, and understanding what is GDP (Gross Domestic Product) which is different in every countries. I have traveled to 9 countries including my very own Malaysia (across all 14 states) and I do wish to explore more in the near future.

Furthermore, other topics that appeals me include both Animal and Plant Biology. I’ve kept black ants and grew Common Mormon Butterfly Caterpillars before in a terrarium, separately of course. (yes, I am a freak hahaha). I love Game of Thrones. House Targaryen is claiming back the Iron Throne in Season 8 and will continue Aerys II legacy.

I’m into Japanese Anime series (One Piece is da bomb), trending mainstream music (Katy vs Taylor feud), and video games. I’m a competitive Pokemon trainer since I was a kid. Trust me, it is more serious than it sounds like. Instead of collecting gym badges, I’ve shifted my strategies towards how great is HA Incineroar in this new VGC18 metagame. It counters Mega Metagross and Cresselia perfectly. I know many of you guys will think Incine-what? hahaha. Moving on ~

My current interest is fitness. Coming from a family that has multiple medical co-morbidities, I realize that I need to take care of myself since most of the diseases are genetically linked. My mom suffers from End Stage Renal Failure on Peritoneal Dialysis with underlying uncontrolled Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, and Dyslipidemia with a history of stroke few weeks ago. Currently, I’m trying to be as healthy as possible, would slot in exercise sessions whenever it’s possible. My highest recorded weight was 96kg which was 5 years ago. I had terrible self-esteem issues back then. Was on the brink of breaking every single mirrors that I can see before. I have lost 16kg in two months’ time and this was almost 3 years ago. However it’s quite a challenging process because I’m a foodie. I enjoy good food hehe. Who doesn’t? lol. Since I’m going to be a doctor someday and I’m going to spend most of my time giving lectures to patients regarding healthy lifestyle, so yes, I need to practice what I preach and start lifting those dumbbells.

1. I own 9 cats in my house. I’ve seen all the dark and good sides of em. They can be cute and cuddly and at the same time ferocious and brutal. I’ve seen them decapitating off their offspring's heads.
2. Eldest out of 3 siblings, both parents are currently divorcees. Tired of family drama seriously.

4. The only one thing that refrains me from taking over the world is Anxiety.
5. Dark gloomy days over the bright morning sun.
6. Performed CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) for 4 minutes and the patient dies after 40 minutes of resuscitation. One of the most heart wrenching moments in my life is when her mother let out a screech in the Emergency Room over her daughter’s death.
7. Jack of All Trades, Master of None.
