I have something different to show and this time I present a health center, I had never published about one but I want to show you the design of the Santa Lucia Ophthalmology Clinic, a specialized center that pays attention to everything related to eye health and is in the Poblado area, here in Medellin, Colombia. In this clinic is where they treat the visual health of my brother

Tengo algo diferente que mostrar y es que en esta ocasi贸n les presento un centro de salud, nunca hab铆a publicado sobre uno pero es que les quiero mostrar el dise帽o de la Cl铆nica de Oftalmolog铆a Santa Luc铆a, un centro especializado que presta atenci贸n a todo lo relacionado con la salud de los ojos y que est谩 en la zona el Poblado, aqu铆 en Medell铆n, Colombia. En esta cl铆nica es donde tratan la salud visual de mi hermano
The clinic has two buildings that are divided into four blocks where the areas or departments of the services provided by the clinic are located. First here is building 1, which is the main building and as you can see it looks like titanium because of its metallic appearance with that material for its silver-colored cladding. The main building is divided into three blocks, out of the four that the clinic has. In this building, which is the largest, there are block 1-A, block 1-B and block 1-C. Block 1-A is the first entrance to the services of Cl铆nica de Oftalmolog铆a Santa Luc铆a.
La cl铆nica tiene dos edificios que se dividen en cuatro bloques en los que se encuentran las 谩reas o departamentos de los servicios que presta la cl铆nica. En primer lugar aqu铆 est谩 el edificio 1, que es el principal y como pueden ver parece de titanio por su apariencia met谩lica con ese material para su revestimiento de color plateado. El edificio principal se divide en tres bloques, de los cuatro que tiene la cl铆nica. En este edificio que es el m谩s grande, est谩n el bloque 1-A, bloque 1-B y bloque 1-C. El bloque 1-A es la primera entrada a los servicios de la Cl铆nica de Oftalmolog铆a Santa Luc铆a.
The design is so modern that it does not look like a clinic. The main and side facades have that metallic appearance that ends with the rear facade, the structure being just as colorful with high reinforced concrete walls.
El dise帽o es tan moderno que no parece una cl铆nica. La fachada principal y lateral tienen esa apariencia met谩lica que termina con la fachada posterior siendo igual de vistosa la estructura con altas paredes de concreto armado.
On the back fa莽ade is block 1-B, which is called Diagnostic Aids, where studies and eye exams are performed; my brother had two studies done a few weeks ago, a tomography and another special one. Then there is block 1-C where there are also ophthalmology outpatients and administrative offices.
En la fachada posterior est谩 el bloque 1-B que es el llamado Ayudas Diagn贸sticas donde se hacen los estudios y ex谩menes de la vista, mi hermano se hizo hace unas semanas dos estudios, una tomograf铆a y otro tambi茅n especial. Luego est谩 el bloque 1-C donde tambi茅n hay consultas externas de oftalmolog铆a y oficinas administrativas.
Block 2-A is the second building, a one-story building where other areas operate, including the pharmacy where we went to ask for the eye drops that one of the doctors prescribed for my brother.

This clinic has strong structures, with sturdy walls, ceilings, floors, stairs and columns combined with some glass windows that allow natural lighting inside.

The elevator in block 1-C is made of glass and steel. I like these models of elevators because they allow a view to the outside and are an architectural element that gives more modernity to the building.
El ascensor que est谩 en el bloque 1-C es de vidrio y acero. Me gustan estos modelos de ascensores porque permiten ver al exterior y son un elemento arquitect贸nico que le da m谩s modernidad al edificio.
There are signs indicating the location of the units of the clinic services, I like it because it is a wide place where you have to know in which building and in which block is the unit that patients need. The signage directs to outpatient consultations, diagnostic aids, surgery, cafeteria, pharmacy, optician's office and administrative offices.
Hay avisos que indican la ubicaci贸n de las unidades de los servicios de la cl铆nica, me gusta porque es un lugar amplio donde hay que saber en qu茅 edificio y en qu茅 bloque est谩 la unidad que necesitan los pacientes. Las se帽alizaciones dirigen hacia las consultas externas, ayudas diagn贸sticas, cirug铆a, cafeter铆a, farmacia, 贸ptica y oficinas administrativas.
One sign caught my attention and it is this one that says that Cl铆nica Santa Luc铆a respects and protects the fauna of the region. A good message for visitors to this clinic that is surrounded by vegetation and birds and squirrels come to its extensive green areas, with different trees and large gardens.
Un letrero me llam贸 mucho la atenci贸n y es este que dice que en la Cl铆nica Santa Luc铆a se respeta y se protege la fauna de la regi贸n. Un buen mensaje para los visitantes de esta cl铆nica que est谩 rodeada de vegetaci贸n y llegan aves, ardillas a sus extensas 谩reas verdes, con distintos arboles y amplios jardines.
There are two parking lots, one for cars and one for motorcycles. The one for cars is a large area and has capacity for many well organized vehicles, I was struck by the convenience for cars to enter and exit the parking lot. The motorcycle parking area is separate from the car parking area and is smaller but also very comfortable for parking motorcycles. The preferential places for people with disabilities in the parking area are also very well identified.
Hay dos parqueaderos, uno para los carros y otro para las motos. El de los carros es un 谩rea extensa y tiene capacidad para muchos veh铆culos bien organizados, me llam贸 la atenci贸n la comodidad para que los carros entren y salgan del parqueadero. El 谩rea para parquear las motos es otra separada de los carros y es m谩s peque帽a pero tambi茅n muy c贸moda para estacionar las motos. Speaking of care for people with reduced mobility, we already know that stairs are a problem and it goes against their rights to which Cl铆nica de Oftalmolog铆a Santa Luc铆a responds by having ramps in the access areas both inside and outside the buildings.
Hablando de la atenci贸n para las personas con movilidad reducida, ya sabemos que las escalares son un problema y va en contra de sus derechos a lo que la Cl铆nica de Oftalmolog铆a Santa Luc铆a da respuesta teniendo rampas en las 谩reas de acceso tanto dentro y fuera de los edificios.
Inside the clinic there is a cab service area, called Coopebombas. I like their blue sign :D

You saw that outside the clinic the floor is mostly concrete tiles very resistant and suitable for outdoor environments. But I noticed that in some parts there is sinking and I imagine that this must have the maintenance staff of the clinic alert because it is a fault in the ground.
Vieron que en el exterior de la cl铆nica el piso es en su mayor铆a con unas baldosas de concreto muy resistentes y adecuadas para ambientes exteriores. Finally, the Santa Luc铆a Ophthalmology Clinic has a perimeter fence as part of its main facade. This fence is half iron painted in gray, combining with the building and the other half is made of stones, with an approximate height of 2 meters.
Para finalizar la Cl铆nica de Oftalmolog铆a Santa Luc铆a tiene una cerca perimetral como parte de su fachada principal. Esta cerca es mitad hierro pintado en gris, combinando con el edificio y la otra mitad es de piedras, con una altura aproximada de 2 metros.
There have been several visits with my brother to this clinic where the doctors have attended him very well, here he has had several studies done, one is a tomography of the eyes and another study, all with a very careful attention.
