In the city corporation elections in Rajshahi, cocktail blast took place in the election rally of BNP mayor candidate Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul. Two journalists including one journalist were injured. This incident happened at around 10:30 am on Tuesday at the city's Sagarpara Battala intersection. The BNP has claimed that three workers were injured in the blast.

Three cocktail blasts took place during the speech. In this, Rajshahi district representative Aditya Chowdhury of Bangla Vision, local Swapan Karmakar was injured. BNP demanded that at that time Habibur Rahman, Kalu and Khokon were also injured.
