Scholars, journalists, lawyers and writers published an appeal to fellow citizens, deputies, politicians, public figures and judges of the Constitutional Court, who took the oath of office on the text of the current Constitution. Meanwhile, the Constitutional Court declared the amendments to be in accordance with the main law of the country, and Prime Minister Mishustin closed the borders with Belarus. Lukashenko also did not stand aside and spoke out in this regard.
