Hello, for this week's Splinterlands social media challenge I'm going to talk about an extremely powerful card from the fire deck that has dropped in value in recent months, but why?. Before talking about values, let's know which card it is and how useful it is in battles.
This post is about Splinterlands and if you don't know the game you can access the site through the link below and also find out more about it by looking for the tag #splinterlands.
The Tenyii Striker card from the fire deck belongs to the chaos legion edition which is the most recent edition released by the game, you can buy the card through the marketplace or trying your luck by buying chaos legion packs that cost $4 each. But this value is only if you are going to buy with credits, you can get it cheaper by buying from Hive Engine or buying with DEC in Shop.
To talk about Tenyii Striker, let's take a look at his Stats that you can find by clicking on the card in the (Cards) or (Marketplace) part and going to (Stats).
As mentioned before Tenyii Striker belongs to the fire deck, its mana cost is 5 which is considered a reasonable value and I can say that it is very worth spending that mana with it because it is an incredible card for your battles. His attack type is melee and he has a total of 3 abilities.
In the image above you can have a better view of the card and the main use of Tenyii Striker is to cause damage since its attack is very high, but it also has a very useful ability in defense which is Dodge. I will talk more about its abilities below which are Sneak, Dodge and Backfire.
The Sneak ability allows Tenyii Striker to attack from any position and makes him attack the opponent's card positioned in the last position. It is a very useful card for melee cards because they can be used in the position you want and attacking the opponent's rear is a good way to eliminate cards with few lives that are usually found there.
The Dodge ability makes the Tenyii Striker have a +25% chance to dodge melee and ranged attacks. This is an ability that can be considered defensive as it will increase the chances of the card to avoid taking damage, and you can believe that 25% makes a big difference and will make the Tenyii Striker survive the battle for more rounds.
The Backfire ability will cause Tenyii Striker to deal 2 damage to the card that misses the attack on it. If you thought that Tenyii Striker couldn't do more damage then you were wrong because in addition to having a very high amount of attack (which can get bigger if you use a summoner like Tarsa or Malric Inferno) it can still deal damage to cards of the opponent even without attacking them.
Knowing Tenyii Striker you realize how absurdly strong he is when it comes to dealing damage, but despite him having 3 abilities you have to take into account that the cards have levels and the leagues have restrictions so before buying/renting or leveling up your cards, see which league you are in and up to what level of cards they are accepted.
As I mentioned about the value of Tenyii Striker at the beginning of this post so let's talk a little about this topic. You can find the card to buy or rent on the Marketplace in Splinterlands.
In terms of value, the current price of Tenyii Striker is $0.37 (1 BCX) and for anyone who has been following the card market in Splinterlands for a few months, you should already know that this value is quite low compared to before. But why did it drop in price?. There are many answers to this question and I will mention only 2 that can be considered the main ones. The first is that the DEC is below the value that the Splinterlands team intended ($0.001) and as this value is applied to the purchase of packs it is currently being sold for a price below $4 and this directly affects the price of chaos cards legion as the way to get them is cheaper. The second factor is the number of cards issued, if the pack is at a lower price than it should be then more of them are sold and daily and the higher this quantity is, the more cards are issued and dumped in the market, then the demand for the card will increase. makes the offer lower and this causes lower values ββto be entered in the market.
Although the price is low I still believe it will go up in the future when all packs are sold. You can also use a very useful tool from Peakmonster to analyze the price movement of the chart, let's look at the weekly Tenyii Striker sales chart.
1153 cards were sold in the last 7 days and the price fluctuation was -4.1%. It's not a big swing but it's been falling in price for a while, maybe an opportunity?. Remembering that this is not an investment tip and you should make your own analysis before making any moves.
That was my post about the Tenyii Striker card, if you want you can also look and participate in my daily giveaway that can be found on my blog. Bye!
A dozen generations sandwiched between the hammer of the Khans' cruelty and the anvil of the icy foothills of Kurguzd forged the Tenyii into reclusive deadly foes. Brought to the training creche from birth, taught to steal for food, beaten when caught and trained daily with the sword and spear as soon as they were strong enough for their hands to lift steel, the Tenyii clan were hard as iron and as fierce and silent as midnight on the mountain glacier.
When the Legion's heralds demanded a sacrifice of flesh and gold to open the rifts to the ways beyond, the Khan sent five hundred waadin berserkers to bring the tribe to heel. When a single horse returned bearing a sack of fifty skulls, the Khan threatened to burn the entire mountain to the ground. A dozen Tenyii Strikers were sent as tribute to spare the tribes and to satisfy the herald's call.
βOf my brood year I alone survived the agoge. Through my offering I took the oath and was bound by blood to serve at my masters side. When the Khan's men came they slew my master and took my sisters as slaves but those that survived swore that night they would not reach the valley road.
By twelve moonlit blades was our honor restored. By twelve blades were fifty heads taken, the rest thrown into the midden crevasse, the skulls returned as a sign. Losing one hand he offers the other, threatening us with fire. As a gift we offer those same twelve blades of which I am one.
We sail the void and cross the rift, biding our time and feigning service but there will be a reckoning. We shall have his head and the heads of all those who dared stir us from our mountain home.β
