Hello to all my friends in the Lifestyle community! I hope you are all doing great. Today I want to tell you about something very nice that happened to me recently: I had to travel to Maracay, the "Garden City," to accompany my daughter, who is taking her first steps at university.
Hola a todos los amigos de la comunidad de Lifestyle Espero que estén súper bien. Hoy quiero contarles algo muy bonito que me tocó vivir hace poco: me fui hasta Maracay, la "Ciudad Jardín", para acompañar a mi hija, que está dando sus primeros pasos en la universidad.
Ver a los muchachos crecer y meterle ganas a sus sueños es una de las cosas más sabrosas que uno siente como padre. Ella está arrancando su primer semestre de Educación Musical, una carrera hermosa que le apasiona muchísimo. Ir con ella, ver dónde va a ver sus clases y estar ahí firme dándole la mano en este comienzo me llena el pecho de puro orgullo.
Seeing our kids grow up and put their hearts into their dreams is one of the best feelings you can have as a parent. She is starting her first semester of Music Education, a beautiful career that she is truly passionate about. Going with her, seeing where she will take her classes, and being right there giving her a hand in this new beginning fills my heart with pride.
El viaje siempre tiene su encanto: madrugar, caminar bastante y echar cuento por el camino. Maracay siempre nos recibe con ese calorcito sabroso y sus árboles grandes, así que el paseo se disfruta. Mientras ella estaba ocupada en sus vueltas y sus cosas de la carrera, me quedé pensando en lo rápido que vuela el tiempo. Parece mentira que hace nada era una niña chiquita y ya hoy está agarrando su propio camino para enseñar música a otros.
The trip always has its charm: waking up early, walking a lot, and chatting along the way. Maracay always welcomes us with its warm weather and big green trees, so we really enjoyed the ride. While she was busy handling her stuff for her major, I stayed thinking about how fast time flies. It feels like just yesterday she was a little girl, and today she is already taking her own path to teach music to others.
Al final del día, estar presente en estos momentos es lo que de verdad vale la pena. Entre el trabajo, los mandados y el ajetreo diario, sacar el tiempo para estar al lado de los hijos y apoyarlos en sus estudios es lo mejor que uno puede hacer por ellos. Dejarla en su facultad, verla emocionada con su música y saber que el esfuerzo da frutos es lo que me da impulso para seguir echando para adelante.
At the end of the day, being present for these moments is what truly matters. Between work, errands, and daily busy life, making the time to stand by our kids and support their studies is the best thing we can do for them. Leaving her at her college, seeing her excited about her music, and knowing that the hard work pays off gives me the boost to keep moving forward.
