A very warm greeting to all my wonderful people in this community. Today I felt like sitting down to chat with you about a topic that touches all of us closely at home: the values between parents and children. In this journey of life, we often worry about leaving them a house, buying them material things, or providing the kids with comforts, but we forget that the true gift that will last them forever is education, human quality, and the principles they see in us day by day.

And the thing is, there is a big truth that we sometimes forget with the daily rush: we cannot go around demanding good behavior from our children if we ourselves are giving them the worst example. With what face or moral authority can we ask a young person to be respectful, honest, and hardworking, if at home they see us yelling, telling lies, or acting with a bad attitude toward others? Kids don't learn as much from the speeches we give them or the sermons we deliver at dinner as they do from what they see us do when we think nobody is watching. They are sponges that absorb absolutely all of our behavior.

It is not about pretending to be perfect parents either, because perfection in this role does not exist and we all make mistakes along the way. It is about being honest with them, showing vulnerability, and knowing how to apologize when we make a mistake in a situation. Values are not only taught through scolding, punishments, or strict rules hanging on the wall. True values are cultivated by sharing a meal at the table, listening with sincere patience to what happened to them at school or during the day, and showing them through real actions how to face life's problems without losing composure or dignity.

When a child grows up seeing that there is mutual respect, open dialogue, solidarity with neighbors, and tolerance at home, they learn to navigate with that same maturity on the street, with their friends, at school, and later on in their future adult life. The patience we show them today becomes the empathy they will offer to the world tomorrow. That is why it is so important to take care of the environment they breathe daily within our four walls.

If we want to raise them with strong values like empathy, love for the family, the value of honest work, and sincerity, we as parents are the first ones who need to step up, take responsibility, and set the standard. Home is and will always be the first school, and we parents are the direct mirror they look into every morning. By educating with true love, with firmness when necessary, but above all with the right example and consistency in our actions, we ensure a healthy, steady, and peaceful path for our children for their entire lives.

I say goodbye to all of you for today, looking forward to reading your reflections, experiences, and thoughts in the comments section. How do you handle this topic at home with the kids? A big hug and thousands of blessings to all of you and your families!
