Watching indoor cats, they tend to have a routine. They move around, and wait and then move around some more before resting, eating or playing. When I get up early in the morning I find Tesla watching me walking back and forth making tea, setting up breakfast, and making coffee.

After waiting around if the sun is out Tesla will go lay in a sunny spot.
She stretches out to benefit the most from the sunlight coming through the window.
Even part sun is okay for her, though I think she prefers unobstructed sunlight. She will lay there till shes toast warm.
Walter has his routine as well, usually sleeping with Lovely Logic and then sometimes visiting me before I start work for the day in my office.
