Sorry for the late reply, yes there are things I can do.
I can salt the ground around the hives, making it hard for the beetles to reproduce. As they borrow into the soil below the hive to reproduce. By salting the area they cannot live there.
Also where I set up my hives is not the best place. Its under thick tree canopies. If it was out in the open it may do better as the hive beetles hate sunlight.
I also hear having chickens around your bee hives keep the beetles down as they eat them.
