Since I have played this game a few times now I head off right away to look for a good companion. I start off with Piper but from what I have read Cait is better for a tank build. I enable all the places on the map using a mod, as I always get lost in town and just wanted to get to where they are right away. This is the first time using a mod manager so its pretty cool how much I can do with it.

We had some close combat right away, my pistol is not very accurate so I need to get close to make it effective.

I tend to go with iron sights early on as VATS seems to miss alot.

Killing a raider in VATS with a headshot. Lucky shot, his shotgun goes flying.

We go into a building and take on more of those raiders.

Room to room we clear out the place, I have a grenade handy if I need to use it.

Sneaking I come across a raider walking into a dark room.

One of the annoying things I did was increase the framerate, this makes the game look nice but it speeds up animations. Also load times get very long. So I attempted to jump from roof to roof to avoid going back downstairs through two more loading zones. I miss my jump but hardly take any damage.

On our way to where Cait is we have to take on a bunch of raiders.

I get to higher ground and go after them.

Some of the raiders lose their heads while battling with me.

Helping out Cait she becomes my companion, I give her a shotgun to help us escape this place full of raiders.

Once safely out we exchange more items, I give her some basic armor.

I try to take on a turret but it kicks my ass.

Actually I destroy the turret but a tray laser shot kills me after the robotic gun takes most of my health away.

We are traveling through the downtown part of the map and I come across a park with a lake on it. That mass in the middle is a trap, knowing what happens if I shoot it I just avoid it. A giant super mutant is in there, sometimes they drop legendary weapons though I am too low level right now to have a battle with them.
