Arma 3 gameplay 01-22

My favorite thing to do in this game is base building, yeah there is a whole single player campaign but honestly it does not interest me much. So I am having another try building a strong hold, add security forces and then see if they can handle an invading force. This military sandbox game is alot of fun, but the learning curve is kind of high.

Usually 3/4 of the time is spent in the map editor, and just a few minutes of action during the simulation.

It starts with some barriers, to keep their vehicles from ramming the walls. Though if a helicopter hits it the walls will still break down.

Adding some defensive posts, honestly I cannot get the bots to use them so they are mostly for looks.

After I put up the tall military walls I spawn an office building in the middle. Up top it will give me alot visual info about the battle. With Arma soldiers only show up on the map if they are spotted. So sometimes you need to see them to know they are there.

I build the walls and barriers to keep the vehicles out, otherwise they will try to drive right up to where we are. Making them get out gives me a better chance of survival.

To make it harder I spawn in rebels, and then have the invading force be some kind of military.

We can see the green markers being the defending rebels and the blue being the invading military force.

Once the battle starts I climb up into the office building and carefully peer out to see whats going on.

Though I get killed and need to spawn in as a different player.

Seems the helicopters are a little too overpowered, so I changed that with some anti aircraft tanks.

We try again, with almost 10 helicopters incoming those anti aircraft cannons will be busy.

I even spawned one up top of the office building, haha you can do all kinds of weird things in this game. But honestly all of that makes me replay it over and over again.
