Initially, it does not matter, friends, teachers, the previous reason that led them to study the teaching career they now practice.
Maybe you were looking for a short career, or as some think "easy", maybe you thought of a profession as a means to reach a higher one that would give you more personal brilliance. Who knows if you were encouraged by the advantages of part-time work, which would give you the opportunity for other activities or to enjoy long school holidays?
It may also be probable that the vocation to treat and educate children and young people has led you to embrace the profession of teacher. Anyone who has been the reasons that moved you to dedicate yourself to teaching, the fact is that you are already there, working on it ... and surely, more than once, you have asked yourself the question of how to exercise it. the best way, you have even been assailed by the restlessness, the desire to fulfill in the best way the obligations that the teacher's role demands.
In the teaching profession, as in the teaching profession, there is a missing subject that should be the main one: the Ethics.
Teaching is studied to acquire knowledge related to teaching; but it is not taught to be a good teacher. In fact, within the studies of the teaching profession, is not taught, that subject that reaches the mind and even the deepest part of the heart, to form a teacher who devotes himself body and soul, more that to teach, to train young people and children, to make of them people with a great knowledge and of love for others.
We could say that the teacher is the architect who raises in the youthful souls great monuments of science; the architect who day by day, trait by trait, is delineating in the soul of children and young people an excellent gallery of portraits: Christ, virtue, home, home.
To be truly masters, let us direct our gaze daily to the one and only Master of all times: Christ; let us sate our heart and soul with the food of morals and of the teachings contained in the Gospel, by way of seeing things, ... that is the key to being a good teacher.
