Hi Hivers, I know the gaps between my post are getting longer, I apologize. I am struggling with certain health issues while the mind is willing the body is weak. That aside here are some pictures I took recently which I wanted to share here on Hive with you. To edit these images and post them takes much longer for me than writing these days.
The day I took these images was a quite a windy day with intermittent showers. Some of the images didn't come out the way I would have liked them to, nonetheless I did like some of them enough to share them here. While rain makes for interesting photographs, wind doesn't allow for good photographs.. lol Nonetheless I had some fun taking these photographs.
Dianthus are the most common flowers during the rainy season. However, the blooms don't last long or even hold their shape for long and you'll see why from these images. Pretty as these are and as much as they grow during this season their show is short lived.
Dianthus bloom in red, pinks and white colors. Peaches and oranges are kind of rare. Dianthus being one of the easiest plants to propagate in this season its not uncommon to find these thriving in all gardens and parks around here.
This is one of my favorite colors of dianthus, but its rare to find these. I keep looking for this color in nurseries hoping I can propagate many from one plant. Maybe I'll find this color on sale soon.
It is as if these blooms were made to hold droplets like these. Its bushes of water droplets rather than flowers that I see all around.
Bees are at work all year round as long as there are flowers to provide them nectar. I didn't have time to change my lens here, for one it was raining and secondly I wasn't expecting to shoot so many close shots. I wish I had taken cover under some shade and changed the lens.
The bees seemed to be quite greedily slurping the nectar from these flowers. Perhaps they sense that their time was short before the next shower came. After all a bee needs food to keep itself warm and the queen bee demands more food for her babies too, right?
Bunches of red dianthus all over the park look so pretty. Sadly the rain is making these flowers lose their shape and drop their petal before time.
Huge leaves decorated with droplets of rain water could be seen everywhere. Looks like these alocassias are common to this region.
Blades of grass the most common kind of plants to be found everywhere look so pretty and stand out when they sport these rain drops.
Water water everywhere and not a dry land to walk, everything right now is dripping with water. I am happy that rain is finally here. My own garden is looking much better these days.
