My grandmother kept goats mostly for their milk, but she would sometimes slaughter one for food. I saw it done when I was a child and I didn't like it; I felt sorry for the animals. As an adult, I stopped eating them, and I stopped eating meat, chicken, etc., many years ago. At least animals raised in homes or on small farms have a better life than those raised in factories and treated like machines...
