This month of June, with most of the cloudy days and abundant rains, has brought skies with many clouds, and although I prefer clear sunsets where the sun can be seen, anyway I have started to look and several times I have been surprised by the figures that are formed up there, or rather, what I see.
In these three photos that I share, for example, I have distinguished in the clouds a monstrous being. If you have ever seen the famous cartoon Thundercats, you will be able to associate it with the villain of the story: Mumra, the immortal.
In the first photo I see the monster in the upper right corner, with his hand outstretched towards the center touching something. In the second photo his head has moved forward and I see it in the center of the image, and in the third photo the sky has cleared a bit and his figure has blurred. Do you see it?
This matter of seeing figures in the clouds has a name and is known as pareidolia, it is a neuropsychological phenomenon and there is nothing strange about it, we are not crazy 馃槀, it is simply the ability of our brain to interpret things in the environment and give them some meaning with the information we have stored there. Este mes de junio, con la mayor铆a de los d铆as nublados y abundantes lluvias, ha tra铆do cielos con muchas nubes, y aunque prefiero los atardeceres despejados donde se ve el sol, de todos modos me he puesto a mirar y varias veces me han sorprendido las figuras que se forman all谩 arriba, o mejor dicho, lo que yo veo.
En estas tres fotos que comparto, por ejemplo, he distinguido entre las nubes a un ser monstruoso. Si alguna vez vieron la famosa serie de dibujos animados Thundercats, lo podr谩n asociar al villano de la historia: Mumra, el inmortal.
En la primera foto veo al monstruo en el extremo superior derecho, con su mano extendida hacia el centro tocando algo. En la segunda foto su cabeza ha avanzado y la veo en el centro de la imagen, y en la tercera el cielo se ha despejado un poco y su figura se ha difuminado. 驴Lo ven?
Este asunto de ver figuras en las nubes tiene nombre y se le conoce como pareidolia, es un fen贸meno neuropsicol贸gico y no tiene nada de extra帽o, no estamos locos 馃槀, es simplemente la capacidad de nuestro cerebro para interpretar las cosas del entorno y darles alg煤n significado con la informaci贸n que tenemos almacenada en 茅l.
