The gathering looked very interesting; historians, the chronicler, writers and other experts on the subject were going to be present, so I attended with a great desire to listen and also to ask questions, if I felt it was necessary.
Another attraction of the event was the place, an old colonial house converted into a restaurant, very well restored and decorated with furniture, objects and other antique elements that made you feel you were in the time of the main subject.
In addition, soft classical music was playing, performed live by two girls and their flutes, and all the restaurant staff was dressed as in 19th century Venezuela.
I had never entered this place before, took a seat at one of the available tables, they served us a drink and some snacks, and like the other people present, I got ready to listen to the speakers. However, the details of this house distracted me all the time, and I couldn’t fully concentrate, my mind went elsewhere, didn't it happen to you?
La tertulia pintaba muy interesante; iban a estar presentes historiadores, el cronista, escritores y otros conocedores del tema, así que asistí con muchas ganas de escuchar y también de preguntar, si lo veía necesario.
Otro atractivo del evento era el lugar, una vieja casa colonial convertida en restaurante, muy bien restaurada y decorada con muebles, objetos y otros elementos antiguos que te hacían sentir que estabas en la época del tema principal.
Además, sonaba una suave música clásica, interpretada en directo por dos chicas y sus flautas, y todo el personal del restaurante estaba vestido como en la Venezuela del siglo XIX.
Nunca había entrado en este lugar, tomé asiento en una de las mesas disponibles, nos sirvieron una bebida y unos pasapalos, y como las demás personas presentes, me dispuse a escuchar a los ponentes. Sin embargo, los detalles de esta casa me distraían a cada rato, y no lograba concentrarme del todo, mi mente se iba a otra parte, ¿no les ha pasado?
