The only thing that I can count on STINC for is to make poor business decisions. I would assume that they cannot make enough profit on the powering down anymore. I think their largest business mistake is to not actively take actions to increase STEEM as a currency among the cryptocurrency community. If they had done this, STEEM would not have slipped in value compared to other cryptocurrencies. That would have prevented the price from slipping as low as it is now. That would have kept the value of their stake up and they wouldn't have to sell so much to operate their business.
