When it was still snowing in the late April in Colorado last year, I decided it was time to take a break from the snow. So I booked a flight to ticket to San Antonio in Texas. The minute I got out of the plane I felt the heat wave and was excited to finally feel the summer!
在看到4月末科州还在下雪之后（下了6个月的雪😫），我决定飞去德州过一个能穿短袖的周末，顺便吃吃肉。一下飞机就感受到了德州的热浪。德州气候和湖南非常像，气温高湿度也高，连很多植被都和湖南一样，从机场开到酒店的一路都倍感亲切！
San Antonio is a really romantic city to me. (Pretty different from the 'Everything is bigger in Texas" impression). I didn't go to visit many places in San Antonio and just enjoyed the view of River Walk from my hotel. River Walk is a landmark pedestrian along with many restaurants, cafes and shops. I really enjoyed taking a walk in the early morning and sitting in the cafe enjoying the jazz. There are tons of great restaurants by the River Walk and the one called Bella on the river is my favorite. Great mediterranean restaurant with intimate environment.(Not good for kids though). The lamb chop is amazing！
因为只是想简单过个周末，所以并没有很多的行程计划。除了见朋友吃饭之外，大部分的行程都是走哪儿算哪儿。我们的酒店就在River walk旁边，所以大部分时间就在river walk两边的餐厅吃饭听听爵士吹吹夏天的风发着呆。这才是周末的正确打开方式啊！river walk旁有很多好吃的餐厅，印象最深的是一个叫Bella on the river的地中海餐厅，餐厅氛围比较适合2－3个人，食物很棒！
The next day I drove to Austin o visit the state capitol. Learned a lot about the rich history of Texas and the buildings are just beautiful!
第二天我开到了德州首府奥斯汀去看州政府。建筑非常漂亮，不仅仅是宏伟壮观吧，我觉得更多的美体现在细节上。建筑内很多细节比如门把手都非常精致！州政府里面经常会安排tour讲解德州的历史，很值得一听！
