Hello Hivers, today I want to let you in on my Acting career.
It all started when I saw an audition notice posted on the Actors platform. As a registered member of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN),I was elegible to attend the audition because that's one of the benefits of being a registered member.
Fast forward to how I faired during the audition,I arrived the venue early enough to get a vintage spot to seat.
I met with the director cum cinematographer in charge of the production and he happened to be a senior colleague in the movie industry,he beckoned on me to come man the camera while he concentrates on directing the actors to be auditioned.
I couldn't refuse his request,so I manned the camera and stood for hours recording each actor for a role.
After the audition,the judges started asking if there's anyone left to be auditioned and I said yes,that I've not been auditioned,so the director came to handle the camera while I auditioned, fortunately, when the successful candidates came out,I won the role of the lead character,trust me,in as much as being a lead character gives you more exposure,it comes with great tasks,but in all,I nailed it.
REHEARSALS
The rehearsal for the movie AUGUST 19TH wasn't an easy one because as a lead character,I was virtually in all the scenes of the movie, meaning that I've to act and rehearse with almost everyone in each scene called upon.
It was an experience worth it.
MY CHARACTER SYNOPSIS
Well,my character was an irresponsible and unrepentant elder brother whose father is a parish priest and my younger brother is the favorite son of my father .
As the first son,I indulged in women,drugs, party's,etc,below are some set pictures to entertain you with,it's alot of set pictures but will drop but a few for your viewing pleasure.
After much pleading from my father and younger brother,there was no trace of change until my ex girlfriend fell in love with my younger brother and in the heat of our argument,my ex girlfriend wanted to stab me because I reminded my younger brother that I raped her and this was a part she buried deep in her heart. While running into the house thinking I was the one standing close to the door,she struck so hard, killing my younger brother,so this is the synopsis of the movie titled AUGUST 19TH because that was the day the incident took place. After the burial of my younger brother,it dawned on me to turn a new leaf of which I stood in front of the congregation in church to ask for forgiveness from God,my father,the church and my dead brother.
It was a role of many characters in one personality,where at some point I pretended to Be a changed person and when my family believed that God has heard their prayers,I do the worst,so you can imagine the twists,deceit and all,. Don't fail to come for the premiere soon come on AUGUST 19TH,see you then thanks.
