You can find my week one entry here: Dream Heart Machine
Snook landed in her dining room. Right on the chair, with the Dream Machine in front of her.
She was safe and sound, back from Holy Hill. She quickly called Brisby and asked if she was okay. And, did she make it back in one piece?
Sure enough, she had. Both were perfectly fine and happy. So, they went about their day.
The phone rang. Snook answered it, figuring Brisby just forgot something. Over the phone, she heard, "Your next assignment is to spend $500 and bring two people on a two-night vacation. BEEEEP! Theeee end."
Snook thought, Wellllll...that's more money and more people than I thought! I wonder if the Dream Heart Machine will stay here, and I wonder where we're going?
She thought about going down by her son's and gave him a call. But, you know how sons are. He was busy, and he didn't have time to see his mom and her friends that weekend.
Snook was like, "Hmmmm." There was a lot of stuff that Snook wanted to do and many people she wanted to do it with. But she hasn't been feeling well. So, she started to think. Always a dangerous thing.
She was looking at the Dream Heart machine while she was thinking. And she was kinda, you know, tapping at the little knobs here and there. One happened to press in.
A voice came out, "Can I help you?"
Snook was like, "Oh! Well...maybe." She paused for a second and then said, "So..what do you think about transporting three people at once into The Sims 4 game? Do you think you could handle that?"
The Dream Heart Machine chuckled. "What?! You don't think I can do that? I can do ANYTHING!"
Snook was like, "Really? Anything?! That's kinda saying ALOT. Isn't it?"
The Dream Heart Machine was like, "Well, okay. Maybe not ANYTHING but, if you want to go into the Sims 4 game with your friends...I can take you there."
Snook responded, "Okay but, HOW? What do I have to do? Or, what do we have to do because I'm the one with the machine? How are we going to get @Brisby and @Saffisara in the Sims 4 too? They have the base game but not all the packs that I do."
The Dream Machine snarkily replied, "Who's the dumb one now? You'll have to send them the packs so that they can download them. You will all have to have exactly the same packs. Which means you'll have to disable the ones that they don't have. From there, you'll need to build a house and a world with JUST those packs."
Huffing a sigh, Snook said, "Alright. Fine. I'll do it. I can do that."
Snook set about figuring out what packs everybody needed while still staying within the $500 budget. She didn't want to go over, but she didn't want to go under either. Which was hard because there were so many perfect Sim 4 packs.
She spent about an hour going through the packs, back and forth between browser tabs to try and find the prices, and calling Brisby while not telling her the whole story because she wanted it to be a surprise. Asking her to help find the costs and stuff because Snook had watched a cat the night before and didn't get any sleep. She was exhausted.
She knew she needed to get her assignment done, but her brain capacity-wise was down to half a percent.
Brisby helped and laughed with Snook. Brisby was hungry, and Snook felt guilty, and Saffisara still had no clue what was going on. Saffisara was still living her best life. Little did she know what was in store for her.
The following day Snook woke up and sent out the Sims 4 packs to Brisby and Saffisara. She explained that they needed to download the games and load the main game to test that everything was in working order.
Finally, She asked both her friends to ensure they had Friday night and Saturday nights free of any plans. She told them both that she had a surprise for them that meant the world to her. Both Brisby and Saffisara agreed to have their computers on at six PM that coming Friday.
The rest of the day was spent building a house they could live in for two nights and two Sims that looked like her friends. All in all, it was a very productive day, but time seemed to be flying by.
Over the next two days, Snook tweaked her Sims 4 game and added cheats so her friends would be able to do anything in the game they wanted when they came to visit. All was set. One more sleep until Friday night.
Snook was a bundle of nerves the next day. Everything was as perfect as she could make it, but the Sims 4 games were known to be glitchy.
At five PM, Snook slowly pressed in the handle of the Dream Machine and asked it to take her inside the Sims 4 game to the house she had built. Poof! She was in along with the Dream Machine!! It had worked! Now all she had to do was wait an hour until she tried to bring her two friends into the game too.
Six PM finally came. Snook walked up to the Dream Machine and said a prayer that all went well. The Dream Machine could be heard whispering a blessing too. Lowering herself down, Snooked pressed the button and asked Brisby to be brought into the Sims 4 game to the house she had built. Poof! Brisby started walking out of the front door of the house. Snook laughed and quickly pressed the button again and asked Saffisara to be brought into the Sims 4 game to the place she had built.
Snook looked to the front door and... nothing. She started to panic when suddenly, Saffisara came running out of the front door laughing and screaming with joy as she hugged Brisby and Snook.
Snooked grabbed the Dream Machine, and while thanking it for doing an outstanding job, she stuck it in her inventory so it would not get lost. Holding her friend's hands, she pulled them into the kitchen, where she told them to relax while she made them something to eat.
The first night was spent sitting around laughing, joking, giving hugs, and in awe that the three friends finally got to meet in person. After hours and hours of laughter, everyone's sleep meter was in the red. Snook showed everyone their rooms and passed out herself while dreaming of snowboarding tomorrow.
Morning came.
After everyone had a wonderful meal, Snook picked up her phone, and off the three of them went to spend the day at Mount Komorebi. They started out snowboarding and then moved on to skiing. Around and around, all three of them went. As the sun was setting, Brisby grabbed her phone, and everyone ported back home.
One more night was left, and the three didn't want it to end. They all took naps, and when they woke up, they decided jet skiing was in order! Many laughs were had as the three zoomed around the lake. It was a weird feeling knowing all they did that day yet a short nap, and they were ready to go again.
Sunday morning came, and the girls quietly ate breakfast, knowing they would not see each other again for a very long time.
Snook went out in the front yard and pulled the Dream Machine out. She grabbed the first button, and the machine told her to wait! Not to touch anything yet. The Dream Machine found out that there were time limits on a game vacation, and they were at the limit of time. Snook needed to gather everyone together so the machine could try and get everyone back home before it was too late.
Snook ran into the house, waving her arms. She grabbed Brisby and Saffisara and pulled them out to the front yard, all the while explaining the urgency. Not wanting to be left inside a game, everyone listened to the Dream Machine when it started giving directions.
The three women held hands. With eyes closed, they thought of the house they lived in. As one, they all leaned down and grabbed the same switch, and pulled. Sparks flew! A cat could be heard, and then all was black.
The End.
