Inspiration can come to you from anywhere but it is always wonderful when friends are involved. @JackMiller was telling me about the kind of house he would like to build for his family once he gets back home. He had made a quick sketch and sent it to me to look at.

From there that sketch took on a life of its own using the Sims 4 building mode. For the last two weeks, I have been working on making the sketch into a home for him. I will admit I went way over budget. I will admit it's all my fault there is a pool in the back yard.

The lot I chose to build the house on is the biggest size lot you can use in The Sims 4. I happened to pick the Island location knowing people like having privacy. Once the house was already built I had to add a carport. This meant it needed to attach to the house next to the kitchen. The way the house was sitting on the land a driveway had to be added.

Unfortunately for JackMiller I had just watched a tutorial on how to use the terrain tools that are now free with the Sims 4 base game. I decided the driveway would be really cool looking if it went uphill.

Learning as I built this house was a ton of fun. It took a long time but I love how it ended up looking. I hope you do too.
