Hello again and welcome back to my blog about learning how to live stream on Twitch.
I would like to share a few things I have found out while learning to stream.
First, you need to find a program that lets you capture your game, video, and audio of you. I started with the program that said EASY! EASY! EASY! which it was, when it worked, but it didn't work all the time which was a tad upsetting!
So off to download the hard program I had read about. Watch more video's on how to use it, set it all up, test it out and it worked!
The streaming itself is the easiest part after you realize that you need to talk through most of the hour or more that you are streaming. Have a think about talking out loud to yourself for over an hour and make it interesting. I have always been a talker and there are times by the end of an hour I'm just all talked out! Which for people that know me is a very hard thing to believe. lol
Now you need to take your stream footage and pick out a good part. This means going back over every minute of footage that you just did and looking for anything that you think others might find........well I'm going for funny. Marking the footage timestamps so when you edit it you know where those funny parts are and then you are off to editing!
Now I needed a free editing program because I can not afford to buy anything which means we are back on the web searching for a free good editing program that doesn't put watermarks on your whole edited video.
Once you find one next comes watching more videos on how to use the new free editing program!
As you might have guessed I have watched more "How to" video's in the last 7 days than ever in my 53 years of life! and I'm sure I'm not done yet.
Next, you edit your video and upload it to a place where you think more people will see it. I'm using YouTube.
And you guessed it! more googling for how to set up a YouTube account.
And this is where I will leave my story for today.
I still have a lot of work to do making my Twitch page and YouTube page look nice but it will all come in time.
I'm doing things slow so I don't get burned out on it all and so I have fun while doing it because for me this is ALL about the fun!!!
