Today I'm posting 3 photos of a tree called "yesterday-today-and-tomorrow". We have 4 of them growing in our garden, two in the front and two at the back, and these photos were taken with my old Sony H10 during September, 2010. I'll try and get some new ones with my Canon 700D this spring, which will be in September/October. The shrubs keep on blooming for months on end, and are delightful as they are always covered in flowers in different shades of purple.

I quote Donna Sundblad (garden.lovetoknow, Google), "the flowers last for three days and change color with each day. The first day they are purple (yesterday), the second day they change to a pastel lavender shade (today), and on the third day they change to an almost white color (tomorrow). Because each flower lasts for three days and goes through this colorful transformation, it is easy to tell whether it's a yesterday bloom or a shade representing today and tomorrow."

Their fragrance is heavenly, especially during early evening.
