After more than a decade, I've found you again. I'm referring to the Turkish delight, my favorite snack when I was in grade school.
I went to the school canteen this morning and they're selling Turkish delight. It's very rare to find Turkish delight these days in my place. It was pretty nostalgic when I saw it, I remember my childhood memories. It brought me back to those sweet childhood moments. I always buy Turkish delight for my snack.
The last time I bought Turkish delight, it only costs 50 cents per piece. Basically, 50 cents has very little value nowadays in the Philippines. One peso can't buy you even a piece of candy today.
To cut the story short, I bought a pack of Turkish delight for 40 pesos and it contains 15 pieces. So, that's approximately 5x higher than the price before. Time really flies so fast. Now, forget the price because the taste is more important. I immediately opened the pack, of course. I haven't tasted it for a very long time. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I tasted it, the taste was not the same. The Turkish delight that I got used to was way more delectable than these. Good thing I didn't bought two packs.
I hope that they will bring back those delicious Turkish delight.
