Today I went over to my wife's grandmothers house and I saw a bird in the parking lot. I did not know what kind of bird it was at first. Later when I looked online I realized it was a roadrunner. He looked like he had something in his mouth. As we pulled up he jumped over the little fence at the side of the parking lot. So as I got out of the car I walked over to the front of the car where the roadrunner had been. I saw a pile of feathers so I walked over to the wall to look for the roadrunner. I saw him hiding away on the other side of the wall in a bush. I took a closer look, and saw he really was holding a bird in his mouth.
So I started looking online at http://www.nature.org/newsfeatures/specialfeatures/animals/birds/roadrunner.xml to see what roadrunners eat, and to my surprise I found they are omnivorous, and they do eat birds. These birds are amazing they mostly prefer to remain on the ground and they run very fast. I just wish I had been able to take a picture of him. I have seen many roadrunners in my life but most of them are just running across the road.
