Thanksgiving is an expression of gratitude to your creator. The Bible tells us that in all things, we should give thanks.
Perhaps, this is difficult for some believers today, they feel helpless that their voices have faded into thin air.
They have been swallowed by their fear which has stopped them from thanking their creator. They forget that the Bible has already told us in the book of 1 Thessalonians 5:18a that ''In every thing give thanks''.
It does not matter the situation, the circumstance. The Bible tells us to give thanks to God.
The simple logic is while giving thanks, you sing with conviction that your victory is certain, that your problem is solved and that God has answered your prayers.
If you are still doubting why you should thank God, then take a cue from David. David found favour in God's sight always because he knows how to praise God.
David was the only creature who knew the major 'food' God wants and how to serve it to Him. Whenever he won a battle, he praises God, whenever he commits sin, he praises God to ask for forgiveness.
Every aspect of his life, he dedicated large portion of it to praising God and he found favour in the sight of God. Even with all the unforgivable sins he committed and his wrong doings, God still cherish him.
So it goes to show that when you give thanks to God for all He has done, yet to do and things you are hoping He will do, He will bless you beyond your imagination.
Let no pandemic be a stumbling block between you and your Creator.
Remember that fear is of the devil and not of God. If you fear having this virus and in the process forget the one who can cure without drugs, the one who created heaven and earth, then you have given devil the chance to win.
Romans 8:15 stated clearly that we are not given the spirit of fear but we have received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Thanking God is the first thing that must always come to our mind in every situation.
Haven't you noticed that before praying, servants of God always encourage us to praise God? It opens the door for God to
accept and hear us.
Psalms 119:89 says 'for ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.' So no matter what is out there, it cannot altered God's purpose for your destiny.
If this wont be your end, it wont be no matter how Satan tries. Why not focus on God the author and finisher of your faith as evident in Hebrews 12:2.
Look unto God, give Him praise, adore Him, give Him honour because He deserves it.
In all you do, always give thanks to almighty God.
