The scamming business has become a threat to crypto and non cryoto world in recent years.
These scammers are not showing signs of relenting. They are always devising means to perpetuate their devilish act.
Sometimes i wonder what goes on in that their tiny brains when they decided to scam their unsuspecting victims.
These people leverage on the flaws of social media media to carry out these their fraudulent acts.
Social media give room for anybody to open any account with any name at any time and anywhere without restrictions.
These pave ways for the increase in web scams that we have seen in recent years.
Recently, i got lot of emails from people trying to scam me of the money i don't have! đ
If you as a scammer is trying to scam an employee like myself millions of dollar via email, then you've missed it already.
Just few days ago, someone sent me a tweet to drop my Cash App details for him on his WhatsApp number.
It looks so dumb. When i checked his handle, i saw that he sent similar message to many people within minutes.
It clearly shows he is broke and desperate to scam many people. If a broke person like that scams another broke individual, it means the one scammed is greedy.
Most times, greediness is the reason many of us get scammed. Imagine a token is sold for 1.2$ in the market and a buyer who will give you fiat told you he is willing to pay 1$ but because you feel the 0.2$ is much, you then opt to trade with a new buyer promising you 1.1$.
If you are scammed, then you saw the writings on the wall but your greed got you scammed.
Another problem is some us try to get rich quickly. This mentality is what this scammers work on.
So they come up with a get rich plan and sell it to greedy and lazy youths who want to get rich quicker than their mates.
The little money they have would be used on this investment scam and the scammer would laugh last because he was able to use his tiny brain to scam the gullible ones.
While this doesn't sound funny, there is a need for us all to be very careful and stay on course to true investment with calculated risk and not pyramid kind of investment.
If you invested in stocks and price went down, you will be sad but know your money was invested on legit investment.
If you put it in ponzi and you got scammed? You will hate yourself for it. Annoying part is that this unrepentant victims will still fall for another ponzi-like scheme that is repackaged because they are greedy!
There should be a solution, however to this menace. There should be measures put in place to curb social media scam because it is where this people operate from these days.
In Nigeria, we have BVN (Bank Verification Number) which is linked to all our bio data. It captures fingerprint, face, name and phone number.
This makes is hard for one person to open another bank account because this data is recorded and will point out if your are already registered.
With this or similar method, people wont have anonymous social media presence.
This scamming just need to stop and the greedy and gullible ones who allow these scammers with tiny brains to thrive need to up there game and do legit business alone.
