Peace is something that should never be negotiated. The world needs peace to continue to remain in existence.
Today, i watched a film where peace was a luxury. The people's peace was always at threat with some people trying to control others by conquering them.
They lived knowing fully well that attack can come from anywhere. I wondered how they have some old people among them.
How those people lived and survived constant attack from outsiders is beyond my imagination.
It goes to show that we have evolved from such era. I wouldn't have wished to be born in that era.
When i look at what is happening today, it gives me a sense of confidence that we are far better than them.
The world is not totally at peace but it is not at war. While a part in Nigeria is still under siege, many states have been living in peace and still peaceful places to visit.
Peace in a time like this shows our level of understanding and points to our sense rationality and civilization.
We can move from one place to another without constraint. No one is somewhere trying to shoot physical arrow at us or trying to conquer our community to dominate us.
Though we have some miscreants who are power drunk and always trigger happy that take lives of innocent people on the street.
This is a defect of today's society but has never been a threat to our peaceful coexistence.
This somehow makes me happy in a way because the life men lived in the dark age is far from being a true life because it was marred by violence and constant killing.
For the sake of the world, let's continue to be in peace and enjoy our peaceful coexistence. The point is, if things changes from good to bad, we would hate it and suffer for it.
We always know the beginning of war but no one knows its end. On that note, we should do everything within our power to continue to live in peace.
In fact, it should be something in every man's mouth. Preach peace to the nation so that we all can live in peace and harmony.
