One of the things that tend to remind us of the fact that we are human beings is fallen sick.
Sickness is part and parcel of man. It works as a corrective measure to slow us down from ourselves.
No doubt, nobody wants to be sick. It is a state in our life that takes everything away from us.
It stops us from enjoying our normal meal, drinking our normal drink. Everything smells differently when one is sick.
A normal pepper soup that one would have finished in 10 minutes could take forever to take two spoons during sickness.
In short, it can be regarded as enemy of man. I am sure many people agree with me on that.
But if we look at it closely, we would see that some people live based on our sickness. That is, they are able to live a normal life and do normal things like everyone else to take care of their families based on the fact that we get sick.
Or how else do you think a doctor lives, survives and continue being relevant in the society?
It is because we fall sick and their expertise are needed to correct whatever that might be wrong in our system.
You wonder why a doctor would not say amen to the prayer 'you shall not fall sick'? If people don't fall sick, how will doctors earn living?
It shows that the sickness is there for others to treat and live based on their services.
On the religious space, it is believed that sickness is from Satan. This argument is backed by the fact that many people, as recorded in the scriptures did not fall sick
If that is true, the question of who is responsible for doctors would be raised but you already know the answer to that.
The point being made is that sickness is bad and the enemy of humanity but all things work for good.
This sickness is something doctors treat so as to live, buy house, car and socialise like the bankers and the rest.
Imagine people stop fallen sick or sickness is eradicated in man, we would be happy of course but would the doctors be?
Would they appreciate the fact that all their years of learning is a waste because people just stop fallen sick?
When you look it, you will accept the fact that sickness, whether it be of satanic power or not, must occur for others to treat and earn living.
I pray we don't encounter sickness that will take our lives.
