Hell and heaven are too concepts in religion that serve to caution man about his decision and actions. The rewards for man's action is either heaven or hell.
These two realities are the crux of Abrahamic religions. Abrahamic religions are the religions that have Father Abraham as there forefather. Islam and Christianity are instances of Abrahamic religions.
As evident in the Holy Book, we are given certain tasks to do and obeying and doing them diligently will take us to heaven. The reverse of the rules takes one straight to hell fire.
Hell, is made for those who disobeys God and follow Satan, the archangel.
Heaven on the other hand is for those who follow God commandment diligently and keep all.
I was just reflecting on how wealthy men in this world portray themselves. It crossed my brain that had heaven not based on individuals work on earth, it would have been difficult for the poor to get there.
So i pictured a scenario where each sin has a monetary value you pay for atonement!
Imagine steeling has a price of let's say 1 million dollar. A thief steals 5 million and just pays 1 million for atonement.
Or imagine murder case priced around 5 million and all you have to do is pay before or after committing the crime.
Or imagine you can even pay for committing suicide which is believed to be a sin before God.
Imagine every sin has a price tag and with money, you can easily atone yourself from any sin and by so doing, you are sure of making heaven.
This reminds me of the case of Lazarus who was very poor while on earth. He laid at the gate of a rich man with the hope of eating crumbs from the rich man's table. Dogs came and eat the crumbs before his eye.
The Holy Book depicted that when he died, he went straight to heaven and was carried into the bosom of Abraham.
The same rich man died and went to hell. It was recorded that he looked up and saw Lazarus with Father Abraham and asked that he sends Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger into water to cool his thirst.
At that very point, it dawn on me that if money was a price to pay to enter heaven or heaven was created in such a way that money can grant one access there, the poor would have comfortably go to hell.
Because God is not a partial God and because He knows all things, He made sure salvation is free for all irrespective of your status.
The Bible recalled a certain man who came to Jesus to ask what he needed to do to make heaven. In the book of Matthew chapter 19 verse 24, Jesus responded to the rich and saying it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
The evidence of Lazarus who was very poor here on earth but was taken to the bosom of Father Abraham, shows we might not be anything here, but once we obeys and do God's will, we will be princes and princesses in heaven.
Thank God heaven is reached based on other factors apart from monetary worth, many poor wouldn't have made it there.
