Liverpool legend and Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has signed two-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2024.
Gerrard started his career as Rangers coach in June 2018. He is 39-year-old and enjoying life with the Scottish team.
Gerrard says he is delighted to be extending his stay at Rangers.
He believes his extension is a good thing and shows the club is building something unique for the future. Gerrard says it was an easy decision to make when the question of contract extension was raised.
His contract extension came just after he guided his boys to secure a place in the knockout stage of the UEFA Europa League.
Rangers finished second behind Porto in Group G. Gerrard's last Europa group match ended in a 1-1 draw with Young Boys.
This is a feat they last achieved in 2006. It was a huge successful for the young coach.
Equally Rangers will be pleased with their league performances. They currently sit in the second position behind Celtic after 15 matches.
His side has just lost a single match in 15 games. It shows the quality of the players and Gerrard understanding of how to perform at the top level.
