In Christendom and life generally, there are things that happens according to polar concept. Life and death, blessings and curses, light and darkness, good and evil. These are the concepts that explain opposite of things.

Our Lord Jesus Christ represent light, life, blessings while devil represent the rest. Jesus came and died for us. He lived among us, crucified for our sins, washed away our sins with His blood, resurrected and made us whole again.

During the time of Adam and Eve, they committed sin and brought curses upon themselves. This marks the beginning of human fall.

God, through Jesus Christ, forgive us all our sins. All we need to do is accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour.

In Matthew 11:28, Jesus said ''come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.''

To explain the polar concept mentioned earlier, let's look at curses and blessings.

CURSES

Curses are unseen forces that hinder progress and causes one's effort to fail with the sole aim of the destruction of the victim.

Text: Deuteronomy. 28:15-68

A curse stops one from succeeding, it creates barrenness, binds brains from progressing, etc.

To break a curse, one needs to sober, ask for forgiveness. And if one is cursed by a man of God, same thing is required and a man of God with higher anointing can break the curse like in the case of Elisha over the curse placed on waters of Jericho by Joshua. II Kings 2: 19-22.

BLESSINGS

Blessings is a summon to all forces in heaven, earth and underneath the earth to gang up to support someone so that the fellow will succeed.

Blessings can come from husband to wife, father to son and pastors to members. A good example of father to son's blessing is the one given by Issac to Jacob in Genesis 27: 22-29.

Benefits of Blessings

(i) It leads to rapid promotion. This is evident in the book of Deuteronomy. 33:17 as Joseph blessed his second son Ephraim ahead of his first son Manasseh.

(ii) You can't be cursed. Once you are blessed by God, no human being can curse you. Be it witches, wizard, or whoever. They have no power over God's pronouncement.

Text: Numbers 23:8.

Balaam could not curse Jacob nor defy Israel because no one can curse who God has blessed.

God's blessings is sufficient for us all. All He needs is obedience to His commandments.

It is not in God's plan that we should suffer. In fact, no believer should be poor. God has power to give us riches according to His power.

So even if anyone is cursed by a man, God can bless you. Go to him with a pure heart, repent from your sins ask for forgiveness and He will forgive you and wipe away all your sins.

The moment you declare you are on God side like children of Levi when Moses asked who is on God's side ( Exodus 32:26) after he came down from the mountain to see his people dancing naked and worshiping a golden god Aaron has made for them.

To receive God's blessings, always be on His side because with God's nothing on earth or in heaven shall be impossible.
