There is a subjectivity here and my view is that posts on general topics are something that exist 1000 times over on the internet aren't really something Hive so pay for. I saw the rewards weren't that high (but still more than I think we should be paying) which was why I only did a 1% downvote.

An important distinction is that I don't think there is anything wrong with people posting such general interest material on their blog. Post away! Just that we shouldn't pay much for it IMO, at least until such time as there is evidence it is a mass of following and attention (including from outside Hive).
