That's largely my view without getting into the weeds of how it works since I don't follow the specifics in detail. If there is an alternative making a pitch, I'll consider supporting it instead, or in

The 800 MV experiment was fine. And indeed, we haven't had n^2 or anything of the sort for years. Did it make a big difference? Not in my view. It might have made matters worse in a sense, since there

The "rules" as you call them are all emergent within the decentralized system. The blockchain does not enforce them, at all. The entire debate is all just human disagreement being enabled by

There are no rules/laws as far as the decentralized platform is concerned. As with any permissionless system, people are free to decide what to do on and within that system as they see fit, and that includes

Ganging up to improve rewards is the solution? I don't view the idea I described as ganging up, I view it as decentralizing the reward pool to the community level. Communities that are doing a good job*

That may be, in that case, let's have an alternative competing proposal to consider. I don't consider a free for all with no one putting in the time to identify and push back on systematic extraction (even

It's much better to develop tools and allow individual communities and their mods/curators to collaborate and figure out ways to mitigate things within their own boundaries and in their own terms I would

That means that less available equates to less Resources Credits available. In turn, not only can less activity occur on-chain, expansion is stunted. I don't think this is accurate. The rate of RCs required

There also wasn't a lot of awareness initially about the HIVE-to-HBD conversions (and the stabilizer also didn't do them until mid-2022). Now when it goes above 1.05 a lot of those get done by by the

The stabilizer has about $200K of daily funding from DHF, but to use it to buy up HBD from the market it needs to be converted to HIVE first which takes 3.5 days. (Plus another smaller amount of HP funding

It does have half a million, not tiny.

It's not a permanent or fixed rate. It works for now as long as Hive is growing quickly and as long as the total amount in savings isn't very large. Longer term it will likely have to be reduced, but I

Suggestion: Talk to the businesses which are accepting HBD about who are their vendors (merchandise, supplies, contractors, etc.) and encourage those businesses to accept HBD as well. This gives the businesses

That's a reasonable way of looking at it.

It's not guaranteed. It's paid directly by the blockchain so you don't have to worry about not getting paid in that sense, but the interest rate is subject to change, even to 0%, at any time by witness

Correct. The payout itself doesn't create HBD, but it does put it into circulation. HBD within DHF doesn't count toward the haircut calculation, but once paid out it does. The DHF receives newly-created

Witnesses are paid in HP. DHF proposals are paid in HBD.

I like the idea of using that for subscriptions. I gave it a little bit of thought and the implementation seems quite easy.
