RE: HBD stabilizer proposal
As noted in the post the lower peg was always supported by the ability of anyone to convert HBD into HIVE (reducing supply and supporting demand for undervalued HBD). However, this was also added to the

RE: One-Block Irreversibility for Delegated Proof-Of-Stake (DPOS)
I wasn't necessarily viewing it as "bad" unless it is defined that way, which wasn't clear to me. The comment about changing votes many times suggested it might be considered as legitimate behavior,

If witnesses are changing their votes then yes you can get two different irreversible head blocks. I would suggest that witnesses not ever change their votes. Of course, you can't literally prevent it,

RE: One-Block Irreversibility for Delegated Proof-Of-Stake (DPOS)
We can estimate the overhead somewhat by observing that the signatures are going to be maybe 100 bytes roughly, so 2k bytes for all of them. Blocks are currently limited to 64k so this is around 3%. If

They would need some way of coordinating signing the transactions but that's not terribly difficult, could be through a shared cloud database or such. Any competent developer could build it easily. Another

RE: Why Aren't Alternative Interfaces for Internal Market on Hive?
Yes some witnesses operate public nodes but also anyone can operate their own node. You can download the code from It is fully decentralized.

Interest isn't included until paid out/claimed. On the other hand, post rewards are included in supply when paid out, before being claimed.

I think at some point you have to recognize that the original design had weaknesses (which we have done repeatedly) and that includes the "always convertable to $1" thing. The result of the original

So that is a future use case for HBD This is important. Since HBD is pegged, you can't really speculate on future usage (except by buying HIVE!). All you get while holding is the 20% interest. So people

RE: HBD, Arbitrage, And The Internal Exchange
You get HIVE returned after 3.5 days. The amount depends on the HBD you received and the average (median) price of HIVE over the next 3.5 days. So if you received 20 HBD, deposited 50 HIVE, and the average

Anyone can. You need to make a proposal that is persuasive to the stakeholders. Donating the funding, potentially with profit, is reasonably persuasive.
