RE: Compact Broadcast Node: Low Cost Infrastructure to support Keychain, Splinterlands, Steem Engine and Future Apps
Hard no. The graph does NOT show the number of users, it shows the number of accounts which is not even close. It also includes Steemit in the whale section, which does not vote (at least not for the

RE: To Bid Bot Or Not To Bid Bot, That Is The Question
First of all, from the steem whitepaper it doesnt seem that by declining payout you "BURN" steem. It just remains in the reward pool You're right that got clarified/corrected in some of the comments.

RE: To Bid Bot Or Not To Bid Bot, That Is The Question
What Dan's proposing here is that Trending will become largely a paid-promotional area where the payment directly benefits the entire community. That's not a bad thing I doubt that it would because relatively

I also caution against heavy downvoting and reducing trending values drastically, people came to steem in their droves when trending posts were $1000 plus, with the hopium that they would get a fraction

Well said. Showing one post from the promoted section every 3-4 trending posts would work wonders.

It isn't literally burnt. I'm not sure if @theycallmedan was somewhat confused about this or using the term lossly, since the it was "burned" from the perspective of the poster doing the promotion

I 100% agree about one week not being long enough. I expect this process to play out over several months and I'm still not sure what the outcome will be. As for my votes, I had steadily delegated out (nearly)

My take is there is not much demand for the trending real estate, I've seen days go by without much new stuff on trending. If there were no demand then sincere and success-minded Steemians such as yourself

In practice there are only a few slots per day on the top of trending, maybe 5-10. Yeah everyone thinks their post is the best thing since sliced bread, but if other organic curators and stakeholders aren't

Don't agree with the "witch-hunting" name calling ;) Promoting is fine. But the amount of the reward pool used for doing so still matters. People can find ways and places to do so that don't

I disagree about eyeballs. You have followers who would upvote (including me) since yes it is a good initiative, and things have changed a lot on trending itself. The barrier to trending is a lot lower

Downvoted in response to be what appears to be unnecessary vote buying. A worthy update like this would probably get plenty of organic votes and exposure. Why not give it a chance?

Votes on famous authors is going to be a very tough competitive game. Should you vote at 5 minutes, or 4m57s or 3m or??? Unless you are really an expert and think you can outcompete the other experts I

Would you please consider not stacking large purchased votes on these. I understand it is for visibility but with #NewSteem you are not competing for visibility against a page full of nonsense bought votes

I don't know how much of the reward pool was taken by the behaviors CLRC is designed to solve. Retrospectively is not the point. The point is to build a system that has the greatest likelihood of working

I did not understand that sentence. The way I see it, customer buys a vote from the bot, bot gets the fee as a liquid payment, passes it on to the delegators who will often, though not always, sell it
